5 things we love about you, Carrot!

I think you’ll agree, the charismatic carrot is certainly one of the more popular vegetables out of the patch.

For one, the carrot has many trendy friends, like pea, hummus, orange, cabbage and beet. Carrot is also very versatile and can easily be mixed up in different hot or cold, dishes and drinks.

Carrot is also a nutrient powerhouse #betacarotene – literally, if carrot did a sport, it would be with a doubt, Carrot Crossfit.

Not only is carrot simply the best for your eyes, teeth, gums, hair, and skin, it’s also a fierce fiber-filled assistant to your sometimes delicate, digestive system, shame.

So without further fanfare on our favourite, carrot,  here are 5 of our favourite #PureGood ways thatwe incorporate carrot into our corporate cafe meals each and every day.

Juice it

Sometimes, after a wild weekend or an unwelcomed winter spell, you need to get by with a little help from your local ginger-flu ninja.

Bake it

Grate it

Add carrot to any salad or sandwich and it’ll be grate! Not only will it make your meal immediately more colorful, but it’ll also add a splendid amount of sweetness and crunch! Now we know what you’re thinking… grating is so health food store circa 2001, so… do you even spiralize, bro? #inspiralized.

Curry it

In a hurry? Add carrot to your curry! Every Easter at our Corporate Cafe locations we whip out our Vegan Carrot and Lentil Bunny Chow for our customers! (Don’t worry, no bunnys were harmed in the creation of this delicious instagrammable show-stopper.)

Soup it

The final iteration of our carrot obsession is a classic we’re sure you’ll be familiar with, carrot and butternut soup! What with the price of butternuts being a bit exorbitant at Woolies these days, we strongly suggest you add a bag of carrots to sweeten the deal. (Hot Tip: Roast the carrots in the oven before to add a really rad depth of flavour to your soup!)
