What Lungi Learnt: Part 1

Meet Lungi! She was a cleaner and in the scullery when we started Pure Good, but we felt she had the most awesome of natures and soon Shannon had her front of house working as a waitress! It was a matter of days before she was practically running the show!

Once we opened our second premises a year and a bit on, she came to Shannon on her own accord to be trained to work in the kitchen at the Pure Good Cafeteria. Here own words:

“Shanny, I’m 31, I don’t want to be a waitress forever”.

She asked to be trained more in the kitchen, and in literally two weeks was doing the ordering, formulating menus with Shannon and keeping everyone smiling with her awesome nature and sassy vibe!

We decided she can only go UP from here and so on the 9th of February she starts the Restaurant Management course with Getsmarter and will eventually manage the cafateria! EMPOWERMENT is what we need to implement in this country, why hire new staff when you can build your existing employees into empowered workers!
