Melon and Prosciutto Skewers

Ingredients for Melon and Prosciutto Skewers

  • Balsamic reduction
  • 1 small cantaloupe melon
  • 1 small honeydew melon
  • 20 fresh mozzarella balls / 2 blocks fresh mozzarella
  • 10 thin slices prosciutto
  • Basil Leaves
  • Small wooden skewers (about 4-6 inches long)
  • Salt

Instructions for creating your Melon and Prosciutto Skewers

  • Scoop out as many balls as you can with the melon baller
  • Thread in order a melon ball, a leaf of basil, mozzarella, melon ball, prosciutto, basil leaf, melon ball
  • Arrange skewers on platter. Drizzle with balsamic reduction and sprinkle with maldon sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper.

Make your Melon and Prosciutto Skewers kid-friendly

  • Use the melon balls and thread in alternating colours onto a stick
  • Add cherry tomatoes, other melon (watermelon) for fun healthy “lollies”
  • Freeze them for a delicious summer fruit ice lolly
