So for those following the Feb cleanse with me I will post what I’m doing here at Pure Good and you guys do the same the following day, therefore Friday becomes your SUNDAY because saturday is a cheat day (just don’t go overboard!)
Try not have coffee (I unfortunately need it so limit myself to one in the morning) if you have to have NO SUGAR AT ALL!
There are 4 juices in total with 1 soup and lots of hot water and lemon and mint and green tea, its only one day so be sure to drink loads of water.
DAY 1: CLEANSING FLUSH
First thing in the morning: Mug Mint Green Tea with a half lemon of lemon juice
7:30: Coffee (NO SUGAR)
8:00: Green Machine Juice
9:45: Mug hot water and lemon
11:30: Carrot & Pineapple Juice
12:00: 4 sticks of celery (I needed the crunch)
1:00: Carrot, tomato & orange juice + ginger
1:30: Mug Green tea
2:40: 1 cup sliced cabbage leaves
3:50: Cucumber, apple, celery Juice
5:00: Hot water & lemon
7:00: BIG bowl of Cabbage Soup (recipe below)
9:00: hot water & lemon
So DONE the first day!
Cabbage Soup – this is actually delicious… trust me
½ head of cabbage, chopped
1 cup celery, diced
1 cup onion, diced
2-3 cloves garlic, minced
4 cups chicken stock (try for a low sodium one or even better – home made)
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon basil
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
few shakes of black pepper
½ teaspoon salt (optional)
Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add celery, cabbage & onions
Saute until slightly tender.
Stir in garlic.
Pour in chicken broth.
Bring to a boil and then reduce heat.
Cook until cabbage is tender.
Stir in oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, black pepper and salt (if using)
Taste and season if needed.
