We’re Moving!

Yup, that’s right, we are moving!

When I started Pure Good almost 2 years ago, it was with the dream to do 2 things:

1 – Feed the workforce!

2 – Build a business that made a difference.

I used to struggle with maintaining a healthy lifestyle while working an office job. The food options were always unhealthy, and the places that offered some healthier choices were rather pricey, so it was not sustainable to eat out every day. Hence, I became the queen of the DIY, healthy office lunch! After my brief stint on Masterchef and with the fire burning inside to change my path and enter into the food game, I knew that whatever venture I embarked on, it would be with a corporate focus.

After coming out of the show, and a few weeks left of my leave, I was encouraged by my family to make contact with Baphumelele Childrens Home’s recent project called Fountain Of Hope. I wanted to marry my business with what they were trying to achieve in social development and it was this partnership that eventually gave birth to Pure Good. The below video explains more:

With the opening of our Pure Good Cafeteria in the GetSmarter office, we were able to not only empower one of our own staff members, Lungi, but also to employ one of the youth from the farm, making her the first successful graduate of the Independent Living Program! All because an innovative company believed in the importance of staff wellness…. we’d hit our sweet spot and now we want MORE! Corporate wellness is our vision and we’re making it happen.

We’ve gotten to the stage where we have out grown the Gardens space, and we are embarking on a bigger, more centralised operation, to offer more training for the youth, and to take Pure Good online to grow our dream of building healthier workforces!

So for the next few weeks we’ll keep sharing our healthy vibes, showcasing our amazing cafeteria at GetSmarter in Observatory and spreading the Pure Good way far and wide, whilst constantly providing you with some sneak peaks and behind the scenes insights of what’s to come.

To all our customers in the Gardens area we say THANK YOU! Thank you for 22 months of joy, tears, lessons, hard work and countless smiles and friendships! We will miss you all and would not be were we are today without you!

So much love,

Shannon & the Pure Good Team
